How to Install a Suspended Ceiling?
????️ Supplies Needed
  • Profiles (main profiles + cross profiles + edge profiles)
  • Ceiling tiles
  • Fixing materials: plugs and screws
  • Quick hangers
  • Laser level or spirit level
  • Drill, tin snips, utility knife, measuring tape, pencil
  • Gloves and safety glasses

???? Step-by-Step Guide
1. Determine the Height

Decide on the desired ceiling height. Take lighting, ventilation, and piping into account. Use a laser or spirit level to draw a horizontal line on all walls.

2. Attach Edge Profiles (L-profiles)

Cut the edge profiles to size and attach them along the drawn line. Make sure they are perfectly level. Cut corners at a 45° angle or use pre-made corner pieces.

3. Mark and Install Hanging Points

Mark where the hangers will go (every 120 cm). Use appropriate fasteners – eye screws for wood, impact anchors for concrete.

4. Install Main Profiles (T-profiles)

Place the main profiles into the edge profiles and hang them with the quick hangers. Check height and alignment carefully. Ensure the notches align in a straight line; trim the starting point as needed.

5. Install Cross Profiles

Place 120 cm cross profiles perpendicular to the main profiles, usually every 60 cm, to form a 60x120 cm grid. Use 60 cm cross profiles to form a 60x60 cm grid.

6. Place the Ceiling Tiles

Cut tiles to size if needed and gently place them into the grid.

???? Finishing and Inspection

Check that the ceiling is level. Install lights and ventilation grills. Clean the tiles with a damp cloth if needed.

???? Tips
  • Start in a right-angle corner of the room
  • Use a laser set for precision
  • Ask for help – profiles are long and awkward to handle alone
  • Wear gloves to avoid cuts and dirty fingers
