Yes, with some DIY experience and the right tools, it's definitely possible to install a suspended ceiling yourself.

You will need:

• Ceiling tiles
• T-profiles (T24 or T15)
• Quick hangers (length = structural ceiling height minus desired height)
• Spirit level or laser
• Tools:
  • Measuring tape
  • Pliers
  • Hammer
  • Drill
  • Good cutting shears (left or right)

• Scaffold or ladder
• Fasteners suitable for your ceiling surface

The difference lies in the width of the profiles: T15 is narrower (15 mm) and looks sleeker, while T24 is wider (24 mm) and is more commonly used for standard applications.

Usually, L24 edge profiles are used with T24 ceiling profiles, and L19 profiles with T15 ceilings.

If you are unsure which edge profile to choose, go for the L19 profile, which has a standard 24mm side and a 19mm side, giving you the option to decide.

Measure the surface area of the space (length x width). Order a bit extra to account for cutting loss and spare material (usually 5–10%).

There are special recessed fixtures that fit perfectly into the ceiling grids, as well as ventilation grilles or speakers.

Thanks to the modular structure of the ceiling, adjustments and expansions are also easy to make.
