Can I install a suspended ceiling myself? And what do I need for it?

Yes, with some DIY experience and the right tools, it's definitely possible to install a suspended ceiling yourself.

You will need:

Ceiling tiles
T-profiles (T24 or T15)
Quick hangers (length = structural ceiling height minus desired height)
Spirit level or laser
Tools:
- Measuring tape
- Pliers
- Hammer
- Drill
- Good cutting shears (left or right)

Scaffold or ladder
Fasteners suitable for your ceiling surface

How do I determine how much material I need?

Measure the surface area of the space (length x width). Order a bit extra to account for cutting loss and spare material (usually 5–10%).

How long does it take to install a suspended ceiling?

Depending on the size of the room and your experience, you can usually install a 20–30 m² room in one day.

Are there acoustic or moisture-resistant suspended ceilings?

Yes, there are panels specifically designed for damp areas (such as bathrooms) or with extra acoustic insulation. The water-resistant panels have a coating that protects against mold and bacteria. Check the product specifications.
A dedicated filter is available to sort these products.
